My name is Peter Salisbury, the current vicar of Lymington. I am married to Sarah and we have two grown-up daughters. We have been here since October 2005, before which we were in the benefice of Chilworth and North Baddesley.
My first degree was in computing, and I worked as a systems programmer and manager in the computer industry for several years before training to be a vicar. I was an atheist until the age of 28, when our first daughter was born and made me take a deeper look at life.
I am a keen dinghy sailor and I recently obtained my RYA Senior Instructor qualification so that I could help with Wednesday Junior Sailing at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club (where local children can have 2 hours of fun and instruction for just a pound, including a doughnut!)
My hope for our church is that we should be known for living the mission of Jesus: prayerful, positive, caring and growing.
