Family Outreach Worker

The PCC wish to appoint a Family Outreach Worker with enthusiasm and ability to encourage membership of the Anglican community.

The appointed person must be a committed Christian with the ability to :

  • nurture spiritual growth in others
  • work with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • work with existing teams of volunteers and build new ones
  • be self-motivated, with good time management skills.

The post is for 37.5 hours p.w. Salary based on JNC Level Two.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

VISION
A person who is imaginative, has initiative, is passionate about the Gospel and has a love for people.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Formal qualification in a relevant discipline.
Desirable: Additional qualification(s) in associated areas.

EXPERIENCE
Essential:

  • Has experience of a leadership role
  • Has had involvement in outreach work with families and children to share the Gospel.
  • Has experience of planning and leading worship
  • Has worked with a team to achieve a common aim.
  • Has working knowledge of child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety and other relevant legislation.

Desirable:

  • Team leadership
  • Preparation for baptism and follow-up contact.
